IMPORTANT:
Celebrity’s
proof of citizenship policy states that all passengers must provide required
travel documents at embarkation. Any guest traveling without proper documentation
will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund will be issued.
Non-U.S. citizens have slightly different documentation requirements.
Proof
of Citizenship: A valid passport is required; the expiration date should not
occur within six (6) months of the sailing termination date.
I
also want to make you aware of the Border Security Act. Under provisions of
this act, cruise lines must provide the government with key personal
information on all guests in advance of sailing. The easiest way to provide
this information is to go to Celebrity’s website at www.celebritycruises.com ; click on
“My Celebrity” and register. Then you can log in to your reservation &
follow the instructions to complete your online check-in (online check-in can be completed beginning October 19, 2018), browse and book shore
excursions, specialty restaurant reservations, spa reservations, etc. This should ensure that your embarkation process is easy and
efficient.
VISA requirements: You do not need a visa to visit New Zealand. If
you are a U.S. citizen, you are eligible for a visa waiver and do not need a
visa for tourist stays of three months or less. You must have a passport that
is valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from New
Zealand. Visit the New Zealand Embassy website for the most
current visa information.
You
must have a valid U.S. passport and a visa to enter Australia. Most U.S.
passport holders traveling to Australia for tourism or business purposes for
less than 90 days can obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). The ETA is an electronic
label-free visa and can be obtained at the ETA website for a small service fee.
SHORE
EXCURSIONS
You
can browse and book Celebrity shore excursions, beginning around 6 months prior
to your sail date, online by logging into your “My Celebrity” account, which
you created to complete your online registration. Note that excursions can also be purchased
onboard the ship from the Shore Excursions Desk. The primary reason to
book your excursions in advance is that more popular tours may sell out
prior to sailing. It’s important to note that “if the bus breaks down
& you miss the boat”, Celebrity will only wait for you if you are on one of
the Celebrity excursion
Note that you can change or cancel most online booked
excursions prior to 10 days before the sailing or you can cancel on board at
least 24 hours in advance of the tour departure time from the ship.
For
technical assistance purchasing Shore and Land excursions, please call
Celebrity,
1-800-722-5941.
**Please
note the above information is a guide, the cruise line can update or change
their website at anytime.
